Skin Tags Small, soft, benign growths that commonly develop in areas of friction such as the neck, underarms, eyelids, and body folds. 

Cherry Angiomas Common benign collections of small blood vessels that appear as bright red spots on the skin and often increase with age. 

Moles Evaluation of moles that appear clinically appropriate for cosmetic removal. Lesions with concerning characteristics may require referral for dermatologic evaluation or biopsy prior to treatment. 

Patient safety is our priority. Any lesion that appears suspicious or falls outside the scope of cosmetic treatment will be referred for further medical evaluation. 

Treatment Approaches 

Treatment is selected based on the lesion's type, size, location, and overall skin health. Depending on your individual needs, your provider may recommend one or a combination of the following techniques: 

• Nd:YAG Laser for selected vascular and pigmented benign lesions  
• Fractional CO₂ Laser for precise tissue resurfacing and removal of appropriate superficial lesions  
• Medical Excision using sterile instruments for carefully selected lesions requiring precise removal  
• Fibroblast Plasma Therapy for select superficial skin lesions and skin tightening indications  
• Fine Forceps & Precision Surgical Instruments to allow for controlled, meticulous removal when appropriate  
• Local Anesthetic or Medical-Grade Topical Numbing to maximize comfort throughout your procedure

If there is any uncertainty, we prioritize your health by recommending further evaluation with a dermatologist or other qualified medical provider before proceeding.

Are all skin lesions safe to remove? 

No. Before any cosmetic removal, every lesion is carefully evaluated. If there are features that suggest a lesion should be medically assessed, we will recommend referral to a dermatologist or appropriate healthcare provider before treatment. 

Can you remove moles? 

We evaluate moles that patients wish to have removed for cosmetic reasons. However, if a mole appears atypical, changes in appearance, or raises any medical concern, we will recommend further dermatologic evaluation prior to considering removal. 

Does lesion removal leave a scar? 

Any procedure involving the skin carries the possibility of a small scar. Our goal is to minimize visible scarring through careful technique, appropriate aftercare, and selecting the most suitable treatment for each lesion. 

Is the procedure painful? 

Most lesion removals are well tolerated. Depending on the treatment area, a local anesthetic may be used to maximize comfort during the procedure. 

Will the lesion come back? 

Many benign lesions are permanently removed. However, certain skin conditions or genetic factors may lead to the development of new lesions elsewhere over time. 

How do I know if my lesion should be evaluated? 

If a lesion has changed in size, shape, color, border, begins bleeding, or develops other concerning symptoms, it should be medically evaluated before cosmetic treatment. During your consultation, we will help determine the most appropriate next step. 

How do you decide which removal method to use? 

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to skin lesion removal. The best technique depends on the lesion's characteristics, including its size, depth, location, vascularity, and appearance. During your consultation, your provider will determine whether the lesion is appropriate for cosmetic treatment and recommend the method that offers the safest approach and the best cosmetic outcome. In some cases, a combination of techniques may be used.
